I was talking to one of the Big Bosses today and asked him if I was “safe.” He said, “Yeah!?” as if he was confused why I would ask. Hmm. “Well, the economy is kind of in the tank right now, and I don’t know how the business is doing…”
“What do you mean the economy is in the tank? Everything is all better as of yesterday. I mean, yesterday morning, I woke up and the sun was shining brighter, the sky was bluer, and the birds were even singing more sweetly.”
He’s a very conservative fellow. He made me laugh, though.
