Well, there are a number of ways to interpret Jack McCoy’s appearances in your dreams. Clearly, he represents something important in your subconscious mind. One possible interpretation is that McCoy represents the law. Bears typically emerge from bushes, so the fact that he is about to be eaten by a bear signifies the subversion of the law by the Bush administration. The bear is also a symbol of the State of California, so the McCoy-eating bear could also suggest that your subconscious is opposed to the California Supreme Court’s recent marriage opinion. Or, Jack McCoy and the bear both (or either) may represent deeply repressed aspects of yourself.
I haven’t really started any of the books I’m “reading,” they are just in my book bag, checked out from the library, ready to read. I’m apprehensive about Wicked, because I’ve heard that the lead character isn’t very likable.
I really don’t understand the side question. I guess if I had to guess, I would say the front elevation - how do I look head on? Sometimes I check my profile, and it’s my right side. Is that what it means?
Jack McCoy turns up in my dreams fairly often. Even though he’s been Jack McCoy for years, the first time I ever saw Sam Waterston act was in a PBS broadcast of “Much Ado About Nothing.” That’s my favorite play by Shakespeare (I was born to be Beatrice) and he played Benedick. So it’s probably repressed lust.
