it would be great if he could work close to home.

so , that will be 2 lawyers in your family.  maybe they can form their own firm.

					<description>Not really.  He's keeping an open mind.  He's hoping for 1st or 2nd tier based on strong LSATs.  If he stays in Louisiana, he's saying Tulane (at 30K/year :D )

I'm pushing for a JD/MPA joint degree, maybe from someplace like Indiana (which is #3 nationally for MPA programs).

Either that, or just work for a couple of years.  It would be good if he could have some work experience under his belt and a feel for real life.  Although Real Life is overrated.</description>
