My buddy BiV, who blogged under the handle “Bored in Vernal,” has moved to Saudi Arabia. She is my age. She’s a feminist. She is blogging about her experience there. She’s a good writer, and unlike many of us bloggers, has an interesting story to tell

Thank you SO much for letting us know about your friend’s blog. I’m fascinated. I can’t figure out how they’ve ended up there though. Does she say and I missed it?
I personally don’t think I’d be able to get over the culture shock.
Isn’t that the coolest thing? Her husband took a job at a University there, and now she is working there, too. I love reading her stuff. Culture shock indeed!
Ann, you nut! I don’t know if I’m ready to be “outed” yet. Of course, those who are really interested know who I am, but I’m still hiding from some groups of people. Also, I’m still not so sure how safe we are being Mormons here in Riyadh. So why don’t you take out my name in your post and put my initials?
BTW I had such a good time meeting you in SLC and hope we can have more fun times in the future.

I do think that what you are writing about is so interesting to middle-class American women anyway that I really don’t want to take the link down, but I you want me to just say the word.

Ann, the link is fine. I don’t know that my life in Riyadh is all that interesting, but I am glad to have visitors!
If I can possibly get to Sunstone in 08 I will be there!
