Cool, Ann! I KNEW you’d think of a techie way to let us know how you were. I’ve never paid this much attention to hurricane reports before, and I think your report was more interesting than the ones that the talking heads on the news give. Do you ever laugh when you see a reporter standing out in a hurricane trying to look stoic while reporting that the wind is blowing? It’s too funny. But it’s not funny that you had to up and leave your home for a while. Glad you’re safe.

Suprised about the traffic, our news was showing the interstates with bumber to bumber traffic as folks were hurrying away from the coast. I am hoping all the shingles on your roof stay put.

I hope you don’t make it home tomorrow just so we can hear you speak again. On the other hand it would be less selfish of me to wish you well and a quick safe return. Enjoyed the report, thanks.

Sounds exciting - I had to hit the shelter because of tornado warnings when I lived in Memphis, but that was only for a few hours, not for days.
Did you bring along cards and games for when power goes out?

We brought along cards and games for when we HAD power, because you can only watch so much hurricane coverage before you just want to be normal. DH and I had a very exciting game of scrabble last night. He beat me by five points, but only because I got stuck with a Q. Little boy played Candy Land with his stuffed dog.
