It’s raining. Hard. A lot. Much thunder and lightening. I like thunder and lightening.
Our (late) dog hated thunderstorms. She would totally freak, and couldn’t figure out why we didn’t make it stop! make it stop!
I do miss her. But not during thunderstorms. Well, that’s not quite accurate. I think of her during thunderstorms, and miss her. But I enjoy the thunderstorms more now.

You’ve described the weather we’ve been having this past week. It looks/feels so great! Too bad it obscured the sky last night, obscuring the meteor shower. I’ll try watching tonight. Will you?
Our little dog goes crazy during thunderstorms too. But at 11 pounds we can throw him on the bed and put a sheet over him and he calms down a bit. Our daughter’s big dog also goes crazy, but at 80 pounds it’s a little harder to do anything.
But I like the noise and lightning and wind and water. Don’t get to see enough of it here. Only two days of storms here this summer, lot more than that last year. For us a storm is only about 5 minutes of rain.
My in-laws have a cute little Chinese pug. He doesn’t freak out with thunderstorms, but turn on the vacuum cleaner and the dog starts to bark like mad! He’s starting to get a little old though. His left back leg is starting to limp a bit. Sigh. Good dogs shouldn’t have to grow old.

is it beccause of the huricanes? it has been soooo nice here the past 2 days, high 80s and almost no humidity. you are in my part of the world, you can appreciate this as ‘cool’ weather
my parents had a dog like that when they first got married. they got him from a shelter, and i think some jerk used to tie him up outside in the storms. poor brownie would shake and cry as soon as the rain started.
we had to have him put down when i was around 11. i miss him too.
Heather, I think your lovely weather hit us today. It’s great! I should get out there and cut the grass.
Maybe Charley is sucking all the moisture out…probably, though, we just got some nice stuff from up Brenda’s way.
enjoy it! and take your wee one to the park. i did
